**[0:20]** hello hello good morning good afternoon and good evening to everyone who's joining us from across the world welcome to another session at Nest gen24 how are you doing and finding the session so far please drop down in the comments below your thoughts and let us know where you're joining us from which I'm sure you already have um I'm s shikalgar marketing associate here at FlytBase and I'm delighted to welcome you all this evening to explore how the scaling of autonomous dog Jone deployments help in shaping the cities of tomorrow in our session titled smart cities 2.0 with autonomous drones in this year's Edition we're looking at how we have scaled from a single dog deployment to multiple deployments at Large Scale over various geographies so today with the same intent we're diving in the future of urban Landscapes where our Focus will be on how autonomous dog drone operations are transforming various smart cities from infrastructure management to Public Safety and Beyond in enhancing efficiency

**[1:27]** safety and sustainability and to share with us some unique insights and experiences about successful doc deployments we have the general manager of of uh international division at gdch joining with us Mr Jack Wong hi Jack hi hi Sarah hi everybody sorry for the delay it's my pleasure to speak for gdu at this stage yeah so Jack has pursued his Masters of Science in microelectronics from Newcastle University and is now actively working at gdu Tech so before we start I would like to share some housekeeping rules okay please use the Q&A tab for questions the sessions are getting recorded and will get published soon and the gdu tech also has a booth in the Expo section so please visit their booths during the expo hours yeah and if you find these sessions insightful and informative please take a

**[2:28]** screenshot of your favorite moment and post it on LinkedIn with the hash nesg and do let us know your thoughts before we begin I would also like to thank our title sponsor DJI Enterprise and our goal sponsor sunflower labs for their invaluable support throughout the event and with that I would like Jack to take over so Jack if you could please share your screen okaye the session yeah okay hi everyone so I will start so actually each City are different and each City each Smart City design are so different especially like a country like China we have really we have the highest well in the past we have the highest the population in the world still we are number two in the world and there's a classic uh City I would like to share with you is uh Wuhan unfortunately everybody knows Wuhan of China by the covid but now I would like to show another side of Wuhan this time so Wuhan is

**[3:30]** large city we have with populations over 30 million people and within this 30 million people we have over 1 million University students in this city so it's a it's a unique uh type of city in this world so as you can imagine it's pretty hard control this city uh we have more than 12 bureaus with more than 120 scenarios of the the Govern want to deploy Smart City uh things so I' would like to share with you some uh scenarios today uh it's a kind of a classic and typical Smart City Phil um control management so first of all is the Water Management as you can see as you can see here this is actually a yzi finless purpose is a really endanger species even rather than the panda um actually this is the river across the Wuhan

**[4:35]** city um that's actually the longest and biggest river in China is the the the length of the river is more than 6,000 kilometers and because of the overy is kind of over fishing um the species of fishing times are really decreased dramatically and um yeah as you can imagine we we kind of set up the R for 10 years nobody should go fish in this uh area so after we using the the docking stations just you know as you can see we deploy the docking station nearby the river and we can keep monitoring the reward day day and night and we can collect all the informations we can collect the samples we can see all different kinds of illegal activities drings illegal fishings or was water discharging so this type of thing and people can monitoring this kind of activties anytime they want and crack it down

**[5:38]** all the illegal activities with the ground team so this is the after we did after we do this for a whole year as you can see all the the the the fishes are coming back and yes as you can see instead of dropping down the Yanti fishing the purp the popers Rose back again okay from 112 in 2017 back to 1,249 in 2022 so this is the the effort we we we with our docking station and why Smart City because wuhai is is a tremendous big very very big city with uh 13 million people there and we have different kinds of uh terrin and different kind resources in that cities so there are so many things we must do with it a typical one is the increase in demand on traffic control as all the other cities in China because the the car ownership increased a lot take Wuhan for example

**[6:43]** we increased in 13 years from 1 million cars up to 4.38 million cars and ranked fifth in the whole China so as you can imagine there are so many different kinds of traffic uh actually I just came back from Wuhan um two days ago I can tell you we are having a freezen world in Wuhan because the rain and snow and one after another and all the the the city is kind of Frozen and all the cars kind of stopped so there's a lots of um big issues in the the traffic area so what we can do is we deployed uh about 100 docking stations across the city and you can see we can monitoring the different kind like a um people selling stuff on nearby the road or any uh illegal parking and we can get collect all this information anytime we want and send it back to the control center and of course our tracker

**[7:44]** placeman can catch the you know the accident anytime they want and they can use this loud speaker to speak to the cars instead of you driving there personally but now you can use the eye in the in the air and use the speaker in the air to talk to to talk with them to solve the problem immediately so with this kind of solution this kind of congestion cases drop by 23% 23.8% which is a tremendous achievement yes another big issue in Wuhan is infrastructure inspection is uh as you can you can see from this picture that because of the population is over 30 million so as you can see we have so many grippers and it's it's really hard to management that and also the urban the UR urbanization rate is reaching it's over 80% in 2023 and keep growing in the future

**[8:45]** so as you can see um one a 2 2.35 trillion y invested in infrastructure in the last 10 years and unfortunately there's a lot of illegal kind of rebuilding or adding floors on the top of floors so it could be very dangerous and some what not it's not happening in China but I know some cities outside overseas some people grow like like drug or veds illegally on the top of a roof or in their private Garden or something this also works in this uh scenario so this is two what really sad story one of them is uh as you can see on your left is illegal adding Force uh it's 84 but they have a you know a lots of adding ons and and turnbo down in cha in uh in 2022 and killed uh 54 people it's really sad story another one is uh which is in the trano F uh in fujian it's a seven floor uh hotel but TBL down

**[9:52]** and due to the illegal adding floors in 2020 and 29 people died in this um you know story which is really sad on that so actually it's a I think it's a it's a problem to many cities that people will change their residential buildings you know by purpose right they have some some um illegal add on buildings so what we do is with this uh we have this um 100 doing station deploying in Wan we can take photos like every week or every two weeks we can see the change and from this point we can really cve aiz of Labor because in the past you have used helicopters or you just labor just walk around it's really low efficient and it couldn't do much right especially with a such a large city but now we can really get the photos from the the the Eye of of the god and we can see that and we can do that is simultaneous immediately and demolish all the illegal

**[10:54]** buildings so there's a report from one of the the governers local governor so in a typical residential compound where where there are 10 six floor buildings it used to take about three of us up to to an hour to inspect rooftops and and facets so we need to make sure Noah is constructing the ring shutters that may be easier Blow Away on WE days or no structures that add on at it that may overwhelm the the capure of the the building capacitive the building so with the Jones we can now complete the job in under 20 minutes so you can see the it's a tremendous change okay another thing in Wuhan is we we have a yearly Marathon as you can see uh this year we got a more than um 26,000 Runners from over 32 countries it's really huge Cloud management and there's not much demonstration in China but I know well or

**[11:58]** we know in different countri R we may have a demonstration sometime so it's really hard to manage that especially when you lack of the cctvs of course we we respect to the human rights but in such event we need to do something about that so with our talking station deployed in um different streets we can monitor in the entire cloud and and Facilities along the Route using you know different like the regular camera or the IR camera so we can monitor management that day or night and this is real footage we keep the security team the know of the latest the situation of the event so really helpful to them and by the way also you know in Europe or in others countries you going to have like um uh different like football match for example normally we requires lots of uh labors placements to to have eye on it but now with a docum station with the Drone we can have different we can have Theiss immediately

**[13:00]** and with different angles which in which is imposs in the past so the marathon was was a good success in 2003 we are expecting over um over actually 1,800 large e1s in the city as a proud part of the police uh Force our goal is to see them through no U casualties or no accidents no complaints so the drw completes the whole picture with footage from the air and that way we are able to make decision that we're better informed and actions right to spots okay that's the report from the officer of the police station so it never gets fast enough as you as you know now we use visist the 100 uh docking stations it covers an area of what five 500 18 square meter kilometers and with a population of what 1.18 million including more than

**[14:03]** uh 800,000 students Distributing the 42 colleges so this is a huge um huge situation we need to um monitoring so Jones take off as you can see we we deploy this doing station everywhere and using our U System to you know to collect all the data back and we can oh that's actually with more than 42 the forest in this area so with infr red someon cameras we can find hot spots in the forest or residential area and returning coordinates of the fire scenes to the control center okay so in November of 2023 along a total of 81 Jo flights were made in this area enabling the fire fighters to spot Two Fire SS at the mountains of the Jinan and mountains the long Queen resp effectively so everyone around this area is happy to have the Drone technology on board with us so the best part of that is we

**[15:07]** can fire firefight knowing how serious it with the bird eyes VI and predict this the progressions of uh allocate to the resources accordingly okay so now we going to talk about the structure so basically we have all different kinds applications as I mentioned before we have uh just for the Wuhan ground we have more than 12 bureaus like traffic bureaus environment protection bureaus rescue Bureau blah blah blah and under this uh 12 bureaus we have over 120 different scenario we need to cover so we are Jo we are a joone company okay of course we have our own drone docking station different kinds of payloads but besides all the Hardwares we have the platform to manage all the doing station in Wuhan now over 100 docking station in operation in the whole China we got about one a 270 docking station working on this section so we have ai power the visual centers we

**[16:09]** can analysis the data and sharing the data simultaneously to the government so basically in the past they have the pinpoint is we have they have the the pin is different bu they use their own talking station or you use their own the Jones it's really a waste and also they cannot share information to each others because sometimes they are related but now using the same our using our Ur station Ur platform each Bureau or each uh stuff they can just use one loging password and username they can just log on to use different doing station in different spots they can share the the resources really efficient and of course Network can use like a a wireless one or Weare Network and and yeah the ducking stations Jones and payloads mainly from us but of course with interchangeable payloads you can use like different like U air pollution sensors or

**[17:11]** a dropper to save people or you can uh use laser laser system so different payloads give different uh kind of equipment to the the small city which is going to be really helpful so three things about us um I think crucial to this solution is first of all we have own talking station our own joone with different types of payloads can interchangeable payloads to face different scenarios which is very important second because now this um International political U matter I think private deployment is crucial for data security so we do pro provide online API to all the uh system integrator and to different G governments a third one I think it's also very important is a One-Stop solution with drones and doation payloads and software all done by us I think another critical problem is now

**[18:15]** uh sometime you pick drones from one company the do from another one and software from another one sometime it can be a big issue because once you have a problem it's hard to find the the resources right so because we made everything bar self now you don't need to use two softwares or is everything in one it's all in one okay so at the very end let's have a look at the the video

**[19:27]** l okay this is a brief information about us we establish in 2015 and brings all the scientists engineers and and pilots and professionals from wirus field collaborate on the Drone Solutions so thank you so much and if you have any questions please leave a message thank you thank you so much Jack it was a very insightful session I'm sure it was going to help our audience who's ke to learn about Smart City management so thanks for sharing your real time experiences and insights um audience this is your chance if you have any questions or if you want to leave your thoughts please go ahead in the Q&A section and drop them below I will take them up oh uh we already have a question um so Ben is asking what is the turnaround time for for the Drone from the Drone doging to the redeployment okay so uh deployment um it's it's it's pretty fast I think about

**[20:33]** half a day really depends on the the preparation you did because uh if you set up everything like the foundation like prepare all the internet and things I think half a day we'll be fair enough yeah to redeployment the docking station yeah okay and uh what are the rules to Fly Above the people there is there a problem for any of the use cases that you have well actually we we don't have a Beyond V line of site uh regulation in China uh of course we have a flying control or something but normally we going to design this routs really carefully and to make sure to not fly about the people and also we got a parachute on on the on the Drone so it's very safe now that's that's good to know also Jack you mentioned that uh you know uh there are a lot of congestion Point like you are solving a lot of Public Safety problems and a lot of ille rooftop buildings that are built so how do you locate these points like are these missions uh conducted manually or are they scheduled planned in advance so

**[21:39]** how is the done yeah yeah we actually we do we do both actually we we preite we're going to precise kind of the commission roots and also for some emergent um um you know Duty and people just lock on and by manual okay and um have have you tried any other autonomous drone Solutions and what what did you like about them and what did you not like about them no we actually we insist the Drone the payloads and do should made from my manufacturer so we we we just using our ones normally yeah that's good to know and uh do you have any more new uh use cases in your road map which the customers would like to see in the future sure sure we we actually have a new products coming uh this year later maybe the second half of this year and we would like to work with the um the FlytBase and to show the other to all the audience um Malik here is asking how complicated is the maintenance of the whole

**[22:44]** system well actually um it's quite easy because we have all the manuals and then brochures of that and also we is quite autonomous the the system it's it's not like just in the past we have to control manually but now we we we kind of combine everything uh autonomously so it's quite easy we have actually we have uh besides China we now we have about eight countries besides China using our talking station uh especially Malaysia we did more than half a year they use it very well and we they are very happy with it with us okay that's good to know I I think we're running short of time so we should wrap it up so before we conclude the session again and I would like to thank you Jack for sharing your experiences and the audience for being so active throughout um I would also like to say again that Jack will be present during the booth visit so please uh visit the G booth and get in touch with Jack if needed and we also have his uh email ID and contact info so please feel free to

**[23:49]** reach out to him in case there are any questions and um I would like to thank you all once again and we have more such exciting and informative sessions lined up for you so please visit our session tabs and our stage tabs for more such sessions see you all there thank you
