## About this session

A major music festival brings hundreds of thousands of people, a road network that exists for a weekend, and a safety picture that changes by the hour. Ground cameras and marshals each see their own patch of it, and by the time a crowd builds at a gate or traffic backs up on an access road, the window to act on it is already closing.

In this NestGen session, Antea Group and Geodirect will share how drones monitored crowd density, traffic flow, and security across a major music festival in the Netherlands, and what municipal and security teams should think through when using aerial monitoring to run a large event site.

## Transcript

**[0:00]** Great. Uh, hey everyone. Welcome back to another session of Nest Gent and glad to have you here. It's one of the many sessions which we're having today and I'm really excited for this session because this is one of my first sessions today and for our speakers here as well. So before we get going, I would love to know where you're tuning in from. And on a quick side question, what is the best music event that you've been to? I'll come back to why I'm coming to that question uh in particular because in general when you go to music events you see the music the artist performing you see thousands of people moving all across the event you always think about that side of things but when you look at this on the back end the things that you don't see there's students which are watching the entrances in terms of security they're managing traffic outside there to respond in case anything goes wrong anything goes south so what are we doing Today we're taking you behind the scenes of a similar event called Apple Pop in Netherlands. It's one of the biggest music events in Netherlands. And a quick fun fact before we get into it. Uh Apple Pop started in

**[1:04]** 1992. That is 10 years before I was born. So and now we are doing like you know autonomous drone security for an event for which I was already born for. So uh to get this session going I would love to introduce the speakers for today's session who are Timothy Wina and Renee. So Tim here is the lead sales engineer and the UA3 solutions expert at Geodirect who is one of our gold partners in the panel. Tim has built Geodirect's UAV and 3D divisions from the ground up. He has upward of almost 20 years of experience in terms of strategy and business development in this particular field and he's been one of the most key players and instrumental figures in bringing BJ do solutions along with robotic system solutions into organizations and events such as these across Netherlands in partnership with FlytBase and then with him is Rene he is the industrial safety and energy transition project manager at the Enfield group in Netherlands and Rene is a mechanic technical engineer with

**[2:08]** almost similar to two decades of experience in industrial safety, emergency response and fire safety. And under his leadership, ONJ is developing their own EPOS which is essentially the dock as a service model and they're turning it into a structural service within its consultancy for engineering work together. So today they both of them together are going to walk us through how on group planned and ran the pop deployments and what it means for event security going forward not just in Netherlands but across the globe. So uh very warm welcome Tim and so before I hand it over to them just a few quick uh parts we can do first is if you have any questions please feel free to drop them in the chat box and we'll pick those up as soon as the session is completed we have time for Q&A and in case you do miss the session but you would like to see it later on the session is being recorded and we'll publish it soon on our sourc and anytime during the session if you have anything

**[3:09]** you see something which is really interesting. Feel free to take a picture, post on LinkedIn. Don't forget to add the hashtag and we would love to like you know see all the people who have attended or you posted and I think that's a quick intro from my side and with that Timothy and it's all gone you thank you. >> Okay, thank you so much. Uh before I'm going to start the presentation, I would uh like to thank you Yashas and Rowan for the incredible work and support uh that you delivered us and uh also to Nitan for the trust and also his great added value to the industry regarding this innovation. Um so yeah with that having said I will start the presentation. So um first yeah actually you gave already like an amazing introduction so you took you took all the you took all the the words away already. So um our title is on

**[4:10]** it's a proof of concept for the autonomous drone monitoring of crowds traffic and security at a major Dutch music festival. Uh it's the first PC for the ANA group. uh that's uh a customer of GIA direct uh a very important one actually because uh the Dutch music festival is one thing to have involved uh in in our collaboration doing business but actually it's it's an add value uh in the collaboration because it's an AEC company uh and this is something that we uh build up together um yeah with for now already success and this is something that we would like to share with um with you all guys. So um Renee if you want to do also an introduction. >> Yeah indeed the grass is short. My name is Rene Lo project manager uh at Ent Group Netherlands. Um as a company short explanation we are a large consultancy firm in the Netherlands but also we are uh uh we we own sister companies abroad.

**[5:12]** So and together with the inen alliance that we are a member of uh we have a global footprint and our company is ma mainly busy with developing large projects and uh servicing large industry accounts and uh the the event branch is uh is not new to us. We have been servicing that event branch also for many many years as a company and that's uh that's how we came up with the idea. So uh yeah to see if if uh the drone in a box in this case would be a nice add added solution for our clients. Um I know this was the the slide the next slide I believe Timothy. >> Yeah. So so actually we already gave this slide away. So who we are um for for for some extra information because the introduction was already like very included regarding the ANA group. So Geodirect is a geospatial um company uh who's existing now for 15 years. We deliver hardware, software and training for AEC companies.

**[6:14]** Um so that's the reason why we having the connection. Um and of course yeah I'm the lead responsible for the UAV solutions and 3D data. So everything that come goes by air uh that's my responsibility within the company. Uh [clears throat] so I'll go to the next one. How we came together. [snorts] This is for you Renee. >> Yes. Um well Apple Pop is some uh is an event that we know for many many years already. Actually one of our colleagues is also part of the organization and uh we were looking for a testing facility or testing area to uh to see if uh if our drone in a box solution would be able to perform as we thought it would be. So what we did we contacted the event organization and discussed with them all the possibilities. We tried to understand how they organize a festival. Uh Timothy and I have been there for two days. >> Yes. As a visitor you see the artists you see you listen to the music you enjoy the whole uh the whole

**[7:17]** event. But uh if you know what's going on backstage you are really surprised. 700 people coordinating, making sure that everything goes fluently and uh but also security is one of those uh organizational parts of these these events and we worked very closely with the uh security part uh in developing the the yeah the proof of concept the PC and uh together uh with Timothy we investigated what technology is is available. So uh for the upop event the first uh the first part that you see here is we had quite some discussions to uh to get to the actual event uh starting the started to test the drone in the box. Um as enta group we are developing uh because yeah it's the drone is a tool uh and and and a platform that we can use for our services uh our consultancy services but also our engineering services and um uh my team I'm I'm working on a team of 45 people is uh especially in the

**[8:21]** safety part and in the the security part active in the Netherlands and uh with this with this drone team that we are now setting up within a group uh we can add more to the services that we supply to our clients. So it's not just the event branch, it's also the the heavy industries, the the somewhat normal industries. So the whole uh also the authorities. So a whole uh broad base of clients that we can service using this technology. Um and therefore we also require the the technology itself. Maybe that's for Geodirect to uh to to enlight. Yeah. So from out of the perspective of Geodirect, we we would like to deliver the latest innovation technology uh that's available in the market and we always striving to shorten the chain of the solution. So having u a platform like FlytBase is giving us the ability also to connect with third parties like sensoring uh but also CT cct

**[9:23]** or other devices IoT to make it like a very strong integrated platform. Um so yeah talking about this uh it's a great P why it's very dynamic within uh the AEC industry everything is already orchestrated it's already like having a pre-programmed u mission plan and now you have both of both worlds. So you have these uh pre-mission programmed uh uh uh flights for the points of interest but also monitoring the c the crowd but now we can also test uh how to move quickly if there is an incident. So uh that creates also more knowledge and also uh usability uh for for really getting everything out of FlytBase. Yeah. So I I think FlytBase [snorts] uh as as as a platform um is is for us uh

**[10:26]** GI direct the perfect platform to connect also other devices that we have. Um [snorts] and um actually this is the business partner of group. The last one is aerial intelligence and these are the flight operation partner. Um so maybe you can also a little bit empower this uh this part of of the chain uh Renee. >> Yes. Um the the the the whole the whole point is at at some at some uh point in the future uh yes we will operate the drone. We'll make sure the the permits are there. We'll make sure the plans are there. Uh but also we'll make sure the client can at the end in the end can control the drone by itself. So that means using the FlytBase uh uh the flight based platform they control the drone. We make sure it's safe. We make sure it's all compliant with the regulations and the uh uh the local regulations also important and therefore the client can uh uh without any effort. So almost to say uh uh

**[11:28]** control the drone and uh let us yeah start off the missions that we have pre-planned together with the client and uh with with FlytBase uh having seen this for the two days uh using this this this platform really made made a difference and uh yeah well we we have some examples I believe later on Timothy to show to the public but it's it's really uh enriching our uh uh services towards this client but also making possible that the client can do a lot of things themselves. Of course, we will always be always be involved also at the premises. Uh but uh making it so um how do you say it? Reachable for the client uh makes it also very easy to incorporate in their own processes. >> Yeah. And it it was also um the add value of of creating a redundance in uh controlling the environment but also the hardware and equipment. So uh if if you are having contact with the command center uh with flight base of course you get the way points and uh you can already use from out of an

**[12:31]** aerial overview uh you can you can see directly if there's something happening uh nearby a CCT CCTV station or like from out of an operator in the field but the area intelligence was was also an add value because they could uh take over control uh to do like a fast immediately rapid response months. Um, and this this was something that we tested in the field and it worked also very nice. Uh, that was uh that was a great uh yeah, a great element. Absolutely. Okay. Um, so the next one is a city that exists for a weekend. So I already gave it away like uh the previous uh slide. It's it's the dynamic environment. how to act with uh with autonomous drones and um there are some key features uh of the drone that that's like very helpful. Uh it's still a capturing device. So the intelligence behind it is very important. Uh

**[13:31]** this will get you the data and information the valuable information that you need to have to prevent but also to understand better what's happening in the field. >> [snorts] >> Uh so with a with a with with lots of of people visitors during a day uh you can also have from out of success criteria point of view um u valuable information. So this is something that we took care of um in in in partnership with uh the current security also the organization witha group uh and of course with geodirect. So yeah the ground >> and the and the municipality. Yeah. So the municipality of teal also >> we know a lot a lot of municipalities to connect how to connect police emergency services uh crowd control of the city itself. So we all connected with them as well. >> Yeah. And and because of the PC uh we already got also some some signals from out of the market to uh combine it with more AI intelligence to have uh

**[14:38]** a better calculation for the organization itself. And that's more from out of a commercial aspect. But you see that there's a lot of things are moving in a direction of capturing and getting the information. And again to shorten the path means more efficiency. And this is what we're trying to build here. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So uh everything is depending on u how fast something is working but also efficiency of course. [snorts] Um and this this is like uh the most important thing. Uh so um you have to act quickly if there is something happening. Uh that means you also get more time for for doing overview and monitoring. Um this one is for you. >> Yeah. So uh in order to be speedy in terms of uh getting control of the situation, we use uh these items. So to as you can see on the on the on the screen,

**[15:42]** we use a DJI do 3. We own it ourselves. Uh of course supplied by Geodirect. Uh within that dock, the Mattress 4D drone was situated. The drone has a thermal camera making it possible uh for us to monitor areas so-called twilight. zones where people are not allowed to be. And uh one of the missions there is that we uh program the the AI tooling uh within the platform of FlytBase that uh monitoring these areas would trigger a alarm towards the safety teams and towards also the the controllers aerial intelligence to see what is going on. Are these people there uh uh uh allowed to be or aren't they allowed to be there? Of course, there are also security people walking around this event. So, uh we had to make sure that once we see something, then we have to validate the alarm, so to speak. >> Yeah. >> In order to uh uh to make sure that uh once we saw things happening that are not allowed to happen, uh we can alarm the

**[16:42]** security detail. >> Yeah. So, so the exactly this slide um of course I as as a technology provider I should do the slide but um because of um Rene is doing the slide the understanding of this innovation is already there uh by by having the right guidelines and by having the the right deliverance of information and capabilities of the technology that we are using um Renee already can fill in the blanks. So this this solution is could be like uh in in many cases very very helpful but uh I think for me uh it's it's very important also to uh to address all the functionalities that uh the device has. Yeah. >> Yeah. And we did have some bad weather so it is weatherproof. >> Yeah it is weatherproof. Yeah that's that's absolutely right. And and and also but we came we we will uh we will dive into that later as well. Uh also some points for improvement uh regarding if you have huge antennas uh how to improve the connection the redundancy for for

**[17:48]** the real-time view. Um but for now this uh the mission design in the six recurring missions. >> Yes. Uh well we had a nice discussions with the event organiz organization uh to figure out okay what type of missions do we want to uh try out during the event. Uh one of the the major uh uh missions was the visitor inflow uh because they want to know there are three main areas where the people come into the event and those needed to be monitored. Of course, our cameras uh static cameras from the organization itself, but the whole overview from the air uh was a nice addition and uh we use this this this mission to uh calculate the amount of people coming in, monitor the the the streams of people going uh to the different entrances. So that was a major one. Also in terms of parking and access roads, we wanted to know uh also the organization wanted to know is everything still going okay? Uh so are there no traffic jams or is

**[18:50]** is it is it easy accessible for everybody? Uh because the event wants to be accessible and that needed needed to be monitored and if there were issues then we needed to uh alarm the organization of these issues. Uh another very important one was perimeter security. Uh normally the event is free uh uh free for access uh but this was the first year they actually charge a small amount of money and also to to monitor the uh the people that are coming into the event. So uh they yeah they they were expecting some breaches of the perimeter uh yeah by people that wanted to come in for free. So that was one of the other missions that we uh uh needed to execute and this by the way was one of the missions that the area intelligence became very busy with at some point uh later on in the evening. Um the event is located near waterway the river W and uh that also needed to be monitored because with water many people you also have uh safety issues there as

**[19:51]** well and that needed to be monitored as well. So that was another one of the the missions that we needed to execute during the festival and during the festival of course uh there are some artists that are very uh popular and that means that a lot of people are going towards this artist and that needed to be monitored as well. Uh, of course there were cameras on the ground, but monitoring this from the air gave you a nice overview of uh how the people were moving and where they would be an issue regarding the safety of these people so that the security on the ground could uh uh try to uh move these people in the right direction. >> And the last one of course when you are in the air and you're flying there almost 24/7 to be honest uh that mean that means that you can create lots and lots of marketing material. So there was a direct line with the marketing organization of the event as well. >> Okay. What do you want to see? Do you want to have a nice movie? Is the sun uh at the right position. So everything was there for us to make nice marketing material

**[20:52]** up to the 360 video, 360 photographs we took and also a 3D uh model was made from the event as well. And that can be incorporated in the missions during the uh during the event. in the background of this slide you see uh yeah some of the material I don't know if it's a good visible but uh yeah you see the moving pictures there yeah >> okay so so what the what the drone saw [snorts] yeah so I I will do the first slide u maybe you can do the next one uh so at at the first we see the the visitors inflow we had two entrances and because there were some problems with the infrastructure around uh the place where the festival was was was uh was built. Um actually the the most common entrance was was not really like occupied but the other one was. So because of the drone also and we we went up high we could also see uh what the reason was and therefore the

**[21:52]** organization was able to anticipate. Um as Renee mentioned before as well there is a waterway in between with the parking lot and the festival terrain. So uh we were able also to see if there are like any traffic jams or how the tension of the visitors will build up. Uh so this was something that uh that was really helpful also in uh in fair course we were able to count the cars so for the reporting and the uh perimeter security. Yeah. Again a drone gives you more flexibility to reach difficult areas. So this was a great advantage. >> Yeah. So waterway patrol uh we wanted to know if if uh yeah if there were no issues with safety for the people because there was a small ferry fing between the parking lot and the and the event itself. So that was normally not be normally the event was not able to monitor all all that activity uh in in the past and now this was the first year that they were able to monitor this activity by help of the drone. uh crowd

**[22:58]** stream monitoring we were actually in the same control unit where the uh uh the crowd monitoring took place as well. So we were assisting that uh part of the organization in terms of okay we count this are we are we is that valid what do you see? So there was lots of communication going on. This is by the way the the middle picture is the setup of the the yeah of of where we were situated monitoring the drone. So from here we controlled the drone and outside uh aerial intelligence was available to a during an event take over the the the drone but this is all within local legislation and requirements >> and of course marketing material. Well you can see nice pictures we made tons of those as well >> and event was very happy with the end result of that material. So they can use this. I think you can if you look for apple pop online you will see lots of our material being made available by the organization itself. So >> yeah.

**[23:58]** >> Yeah. Uh this is a very nice one. Uh facts. Uh because we were in the air, we're also able to uh uh alert security when uh events took place. Um so we are very fast in response. Uh because we are so high up in the sky, eyes on uh we were able to identify situations quite uh quite fast. Uh with help of course of the AI modules uh building FlytBase, we were able to identify with able to validate and then alert uh the the security. So within 5 to 8 minutes uh faster than normal we were able to sec yeah to to alert security in in the uh in the event of uh uh something happening. >> Also um uh what we also used was the AI agent to find people. So at the background of this slide, you can see my CEO >> and we were we gave uh FlytBase the instructions as stipulated in the green

**[25:03]** part. It's it's a long text, but we actually found him within 5 to 8 minutes. >> So we were not searching for him ourselves. The drone was searching for him and he actually found him. So >> yeah. >> And then we called him up and then he looked up and he waved to us. >> Yeah. And and you can see Nitten as well [laughter] on the left. On the left. Yeah. Okay. Uh yeah. Well, see it before it escalates. Well, uh we had like 50 to 60 uh events uh that we flagged uh during a day. Uh and that was already an an optimalization that was u very good for the organization to have uh along and uh also regarding the traffic control and the incident location mapped. Uh so we we we we were able to create a reporting also during the evenings about these incidents. [snorts] Um we we have not a lot of time left. So I will go through the slide with the video. So here you can see maybe you can uh you

**[26:06]** can uh >> talk them through. >> Yeah. In the middle of the video you see heat signatures walking towards the event. had the events taking place where you see all the heat signatures and these people were entering the twilight. So an AI was programmed in such a way that as soon as this started happening we were given an alert and then we would zoom in on these people and try to identify how many exactly where and then we would uh uh uh notify the security detail of okay this is happening >> and this happened quite a lot like Timothy showed you in the slide before 50 to 60 time per evening. So, and these Yeah, these people don't want to pay uh money to enter this event. So, yeah, we had to pick them out and send them back. Um, that's in short. Yeah. >> Yeah. Um, so so I will I will we'll run this through uh what we can do now that we couldn't do before. Before the static placement of CCTV, each camera and Marshall sees their own patch crowd building up notice laid on the ground. little overview of our access

**[27:09]** roads and parking and perimeter at night largely out of sight. So now we had like one live aerial picture shared across teams inflow trends per entrance and time slot traffic and parking monitoring on demand terminal sightings along the fence after dark if like like the the movie before access to difficult areas continuous AI monitoring against specific criteria and optimized tracking in heavy crowds and continuous marketing capture. So it's uh it's a really nice package uh that that you will have in this solution. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. So making this possible uh the client um uh of course only wants to be able to to to monitor events in the in the way they would like to. But u yeah behind the scenes we have to organize a lot of things. So airspace approval we had to organize command structure we had to yeah we had to fit in into the existing structure. So that was uh done by us. Uh technically connected

**[28:10]** uh the connectivity redundancy needed to be organized. There are many many uh signals going back and forth during an event and we had to fit in. So that's also something that we did. capturing and monitoring of course during the event uh done by us and uh then the uh the the security details decided themselves what they would do with it and um that's was the the from data to decision moment so to speak and in terms of contingency and fallback uh yeah during the weather uh if there was bad weather then everything had to be uh thought of in order to make this mission successful. So everything was in there and all these preparations were done by uh by us and Geodio direct in order to make sure that once the event was running everything was going smoothly and uh I I'll be honest the first day was a big learning event for us as well but the second day we we I can be safe to say that it was a very smooth operation. >> Yeah it was it was Renee I have to mention that we are running out of time so I will speed up a little bit. Okay. Um so um questions after this please

**[29:15]** don't hesitate to to contact us but we are going a little bit faster. Um so from pilot to program h first we had the pilot then we're going to evaluate uh also we are going to monitor monitor the the success criteria that we already written before uh the pilot and then we're going to scale up and this is going to happen already because the inquiries already got in Rene um so this this gives us a lots of organization to do for these different areas that we have to provide the solution in and then we going to extend uh also over the vertical markets that uh ANA has. So Tuba continued follow our journey uh because I think it's going to be very exciting uh the coming uh the coming quarters. Yeah. [snorts] So that was it actually. Um, thank you for uh for your uh for your time

**[30:16]** and I hope that uh you got some information out of it. >> Thank you so much Tim. Thank you so much Rene and I think we have about five or six questions in the chat box from like you know attendees. So I think we can pick them off one by one and we had the perfect people to answer these questions. So uh I think one of the first section is uh you know one of them mentioning that uh if data provided the technology while on the operator if there are some English uh for event organizations do like you know do they have to actually contract if they want that festival >> uh well ona absolutely so we we are the technology partner of we provide hardware uh we are into this together the journey for creating a doc as a service from out ofa. Uh so yeah absolutely it will be on. Yeah. >> Yeah.

**[31:17]** >> And uh the next we have is an area physical security. >> Yeah we did. Um uh of course there are uh legislation that you need to take into account in terms of uh data security but we were able to track and trace people uh and make sure that the security detail found them. So uh by making sure this this feed comes available to the security detail because they can they can even stream it to their phone. So if they are in the crowd they can even stream the signal to them in order to find the people but with the right directions. I think like I said within five to uh five to 6 minutes these people were found. They're looking very surprised why they were apprehended because they didn't think we did not see what happened. Um but we we found we found them and directed the people uh fairly quickly the security

**[32:18]** detail very quickly to these people. Yeah. >> Yeah. And I think the next question is regarding the regulatory approval uh from John. John is one of 63 uh he architect and he had to prep your customer. >> Yeah. Well for the proof of concept we wanted to be very safe. You don't want any uh uh uh regulations to be breached. Um so we flew actually because the event was situated next to the water. We only flew above the water. So we uh set up a a geo fence in in flight based platform so the drone won't enter above people or the above the area where the the people were uh at. Uh so uh so we yeah we could monitor the whole festival using this geo fence and uh of course there are festivals not situated uh near the water but there you might you have woods or whatever. So that's

**[33:19]** all part of the pre-planning that we did together with the festival with the event organization >> and and and we created actually also the perfect scenario regarding positioning ourself to have a line of sight of of the drone. So we had our uh people also in the field who had like an immediate line on the on the drone itself visual sight on the drone. [snorts] So uh yeah uh so we were able to uh to maintain safety. Yeah. >> Yeah. It was all within regulations. >> Yeah. >> And I think the next question is more related to a lot of people have this regarding musical events is that like you know it's a temporary event. So where do you put the dock and how do you do set up something which only lasts a couple of days and then how do you go on after that >> activity? >> Sorry. Um uh well actually this is also depending of uh where the command center is. Um you

**[34:21]** you want to have a a close location. So you also have um uh the communication lines uh very efficient. Um and we also had to strategize the position to have a good overview where the the dock will fly and uh also using the waterway uh as as uh as the area to uh to maintain like an overview we were able to find the right spot. Uh so yeah it's it's really um it's it's the preparation that will create the right u the right location for the dock. Absolutely. And this has been done um carefully with the organization itself with security with ANA. Um so yeah >> yeah I think this uh was to be honest it was very important to uh to be successful >> you have to figure out where to place the drone. Uh BV loss in this area was not allowed yet. So we had to make sure that the pilot had a good line of sight on the on the drone itself. And another thing has to do with signals. lots of

**[35:26]** signals going back and forth during such an event. So we have to be part of it and uh we had some good discussions and we know exactly how to fit in. >> Yeah. >> Great. So before we go to the next question, we just brought an impromptu question right away. We got it from Stefan who is with clone division one of our partners in Europe. So uh his question is would Antio be interested in like you know working into solution for dual purpose? >> Yeah. Well it's it's more than dual. traffic. It's it's multiple. Um once you're flying there, we we in during this event, we made sure that we did security, crowd control, traffic management, uh marketing material, everything that you can do with a drone. You should be in one package. If this would be an industrial site, uh then of course, yes, security is one of the missions, but the other one would be indeed trying to do technical inspections, uh asset inspections, uh because you're in the air 24/7, so to speak. So you can do a lot uh for your clients and that's why it's a platform that's very interesting interesting

**[36:29]** for us because we are servicing these clients on all these platforms or on all these uh uh in all these areas. So it's not just one uh one situation it's or one one business case it's multiple business case uh uh approach. >> Yeah. And that sometimes needs some time to explain towards a client because normally yeah making a drone available that's that's that's one uh seen as a separate uh case but it's it's so much more. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. And it's it's nice to mention as well. So the in the innovation has been introduced now to the Anta group after this PO say the project managers from the ANTa I think they they are getting aware of this solution that it's getting ready uh from out ofa so I think internally uh the solutions will be provided u um and uh we will create multiple PC's also in AAC industry yeah >> yeah we we were

**[37:30]** thinking of uh going full full force next here but it's already happening now. So >> yeah and it's already happening now. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> And considering if that like you know on is in engineering principles and see and they work across different verticles. I'm sure on is just going to scale more and more into like you know different verticles and this is just the start. Uh I think we just have last two questions. Uh one of them uh is like you know Yeah. There you go. uh one of the one of our attendees there are large shore event organizer and their biggest concern is crowd density. So their question is can a drone detect when a crowd density or a crowd management like you know is growing and there's any concern in that area or sector of like you know the event. >> Yeah, this actually was one of the missions that we flew. Like I said, there were some artists that are very popular making uh uh the event happening in saturator or people going towards this one artist. So you get uh very

**[38:31]** crowded areas and uh I I'm I'm I'm sure to say that during this event the oversight was very good and therefore the security detail were able to control this this this this type of scenario very well. So it uh it was it was well managed. So >> yeah, >> this like I said this was one of the missions. >> Yeah. And and actually uh also using the thermal imaging to really detect the density is very helpful. So on RGB it's it's a really nice view to have but when you hotspot uh temperature of people you can really see the density going on uh during the festival itself. So you get an immense data uh out of it. you can really control or not control you can really um make a nice reporting about this. Yeah. >> Right. So you can have a heat map later on once the event is done you can have a heat map of >> how the density has flown across like you know the entire event. >> Yeah. >> Got it. >> And I think the last question which we have is uh regarding

**[39:32]** to a lot of ro programs that we have is about the ROI on like you know the dog throne for this particular event. How do you define the ROI for an event like this that like you know you're actually getting something out of the to obsolution? >> Yeah. Yeah, that's that's that's a great question and I think this is a holy grail question for every uh business partner who trying to sell or provide a technology like this. Um this will come with time. I think you have to measure it with PC's. What we already can do is like the efficiency of monitoring uh the efficiency of being um able to uh to to now well everywhere is a little bit too big but you you have a a better overview uh therefore you have an an efficiency in controlling the people on the field and that creates less stress. So it's it's really it's really depending uh right now how we can uh justify an ROI uh by having

**[40:36]** the success criteria uh um yeah um that we are researching really like the the success criteria now in line with what what the cost and benefit is but uh but but for sure um all the signals from out of the organization the security are promising very promising. >> Yeah. [snorts] Uh and and again prevention and safety is not something that you can measure because it's not after it's before. Right. So um that's that's the whole the whole yeah the whole game that we now have to play is like how can we um how can we make make this really tangentable for the market. Yeah. And that's why we are in close contact with the event organizations to to make sure that the the yeah the roe uh the business case is there for us but also there it's there for them as well. So >> yeah it's >> yeah it's it's not like AEC that you are really doing the measurement of ground

**[41:37]** movement of or you're doing like the inventory of assets or you're doing uh the maintenance for a maximum uptime. It's different. It's a different approach. So this this is something that uh it's yeah it's it's it's very interesting and but also we will get there to have the right calculations. Yeah. >> Yeah. And we will yeah we will get there soon. >> Yeah. Absolutely. No, I think that covers all the questions in the chat box for the session and and I think that's it from like you know Ania and Tim and anything else you would like to add Tim and Rene uh which like you know you'd like the attendees to know about even security or geo director on going forward as you wrap up the session. Well, like I said, it's multi-purpose. So, once you're in the air, you can do so many things uh that Yeah. You can only combine. You can only combine. That's the best way forward. >> Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. And I I think from out of my perspective, it's the organization. It's uh the preparation is already like the biggest amount of work. uh

**[42:43]** after that it it becomes an capturing device and with an automatic classification or AI tools or uh mission plans uh it becomes autonomous. So preparation is key is everything. Uh that means that the dialogue between the technology the the technology uh between FlytBase but also the provider but also the customer and third party should be like very efficient. U so yeah that's it. Great. Uh, thank you so much Sim. Thank you so much Rene for your time and [clears throat] I'm sure everyone in the attendance like you know has appreciated the Google regarding the deployment and hopefully like you know you do more and more security going forward and the next time anyone is attending an event in Netherland and they see a drone flying it's on your direct operating that drone. for sure. [laughter] >> Looking forward to like, you know, more deployments from your end. And thank you everyone. Have a great day. >> Yep. Thank you. >> Thank you. Bye. Bye.

**[43:45]** Bye.
