## Transcript

**[0:20]** and welcome to yet another session at nden 2024 my name is Neil and I'm from the customer success team here at FlytBase and I'm really excited to be your for today this session is very close to my heart since I have personally worked uh closely with the speakers that I'm going to introduce you with you today and I can't wait for them to share their stories and their insights with you before we begin uh let me know how it's going with you how are you finding the session so far at nden 2024 if you have any suggestions your thoughts please comment in the chat box and share your experiences we also have an wall of love it should be on the left side of your screen and please let us know what your learnings are so that we can curate better courses going forward in the next um you know season of NES gen so with that being said if you've been following the Drone and the docking station industry uh for

**[1:24]** quite some time you're likely familiar with Haisha Tech their rugged drone docks have been making waves and addressing a lot of challenges across all Industries like security and surveillance traffic monitoring and solar inspections and today we are going to dive into the real world impact of Aisha's deployments worldwide and I'm thrilled to have you here as we explore how Aisha's innovative solutions are reshaping various sectors so over the past few years Haisha has deployed their docking stations with a network of trusted solution providers and system integrators to deploy their docs globally and these deployments aren't just about technology they represent practical solutions to very complex problems that we face in the autonomous drone industry and that is what exactly we're going to cover in the session today so with that being said I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you

**[2:29]** to our speakers first I would like to introduce James hi James welcome to nin 2024 thank you everyone Hi everyone good to see you here again yes so a quick introduction about James he's the managing director and co-founder at Haisha with over six years of experience in the uas marketing and sales James truly believes that a smart charging station driven by a comprehensive command and control system can enable drones uh and uncr systems for various use cases globally we also have with us mattio who's joining us from Belgium he's the founder and CEO of cybrid thrust uh a trusted solution partner of both Haisha and flight base who has been actively using and deploying the Haisha docks in the European region so hi Mato how is it going excited for you to be here

**[3:33]** yeah so a little brief about Mato Mato is a drone Enthusiast with the mind of an engineer and the Heart of a security professional uh he started cybrid thrust in 2019 to provide TurnKey deep Tech Solutions across a variety of Industries with his expertise in autonomous aial vehicles he was able to integrate smart sensors with powerful automation technology to create a Worster and deployment ready system so once again James and myo glad that you're here uh at nesg and we're having a session on how you've been using this solution and cater to various use cases I'm sure everyone is really excited uh for the session and they learn learn a lot of things along the way so yeah before we begin I have a few housekeeping rules so we are going to um you know engage a lot in the chat section so if you have any specific questions

**[4:34]** don't hesitate to put them in the chat chat section we'll be prompt and responding to them this session is also getting recorded and will be published soon for everyone's reference uh we also have a Haisha booth in the Expo section so if you want to learn more about their offerings you can visit the booth and um you know uh connect with their team and last but not the least like if you're liking this session please a LinkedIn post or a Twitter post use the hashtag NES genen we also have a few surprises for a few selected people so show us some love tell us what you liked and we'll get back to you and yeah before we begin I want to thank uh DJI Enterprise for being our title sponsor and sunflow labs for being our gold sponsor and giving us their invaluable support in hosting n gen and with that Matthew and James I hand it over to you so you can take forward from here and tell us about all your offerings and how

**[5:35]** you are globally solving a lot of use cases okay thank you Neil for the introduction uh before I going to present my uh slides and talk about our employment worldwide I like to also talk talk a little about the relationship between uh me and M and also uh with FlytBase so we uh we've been working with fly Bas and and M since the very beginning uh four or five years ago since we started our business and um FlytBase has been a very great and um professional partners with us in terms of software to control um to do uh Mission Control in terms of drones and drone docks and also has been very supportive in um in in the deployment work of our drone dog worldwide why Mao is actually also very close partner with us uh he's now working uh in multiple countries with us to help us to to provide a total solutions to the end user and

**[6:39]** there has been um many successful case working with M and um so today uh you know H is going to um give a share his um his ideas and his experience in being a service provider a total solution provider with our product and also with the the service of FlytBase okay now without further Ado I like to share uh my screen okay can you all see uh my screen yes James it's visible okay so uh again well uh we need to mention the you know slogan of H slogan we are a b mention exp uh Builder we build mentions for robots not on only for drones but also for all kinds of robots uh be uh the very beginning I like to share a video with you uh This original should have originally should have sounds but I I don't

**[7:42]** know how to turn on the sound but I I will explain a alone uh while we're playing the video this is the progress of you know the evolution of HR dot that we've been made over the past few years so in 2003 uh last year we have launched our new D40 the five fighting uh drone dog sorry um drone dog for uh for five fighting drones that carries um five fighting canister um so the size is like a is like a house small house that's what we launch in last year we also launched the Decap a few uh also last year uh which can be mountain top of vehicle and d135 that's our long uh revolutionized uh product and this is the video footage from uh Belgian partner that m is very familiar

**[8:44]** with this for solar panel inspection in Taiwan this is for uh we we've started to provide a Decap solution for Hong Kong placement this this uh oil and gas inspection with a f v fix wi drone do this is a inspection Mission over a holiday Resort in one of the Province in China in 2020 um the Decap light we we launched in late 2020 and V 200 that's drone do the container drone do and also about d80 uh but this is actually the previous version D50 uh now replaced by

**[9:45]** d80 heas is the B mention operating system brain of the Drone do the inspection work over comp this is the um animation showing the uh Dr do for Lo logistic DRS this is for mining application this a previous RADS box like U back in uh 2021 think M also remembered this we we released d80 very early back in the

**[10:55]** year so um we as we have many partners in um countries so we've been um providing with drum dots for the different applications over the years so this is like a trace back of our you can see some of the original uh charging pad of drone dot we we we made at very beginning of our business okay now um to talk about the the product lines of Haan now we have our standard product which we're trying to mass produce it and actually we already math produ produce it uh the D the the d uh the ds5 based on the d8 Drone do and now we have uh reached about 200 sets per month in terms of production capacity I think it's one thing to make a very good product from the lab by the engineer but another a thing to to be able to make the uh to make them in massive

**[12:02]** production line because you need you need worker normal worker to be able to assemble in the line rather than a experienced engineer so um d80 has be the our first and primary uh mass produced product we now has already transferred this product to a factorymade product that's why we can we we were able to produce uh as many units as what I just said um 200 units per month but apart from the standard product we still make stand uh customized product which means that the the the product is made by the engineers from our lab uh of course the cost would be different uh but we can still customize diff uh according to different drone docks to different drone models and different robots different types of drone do uh the first one is the canopy type uh that's um very close based uh based on our very original design uh with a with a canopy

**[13:04]** opening and don't like a bucket like cover also we have the cinet type which looks like a house this is the uh customized uh product that we made as you can see in the video for our firefighting U drw that carries firefighting canister uh we also have the Reco mounted drone um uh uh drone dock and also a container type all of this we can we can customize and also if you have any new ideas that you want you want us to make uh according to the draw models we can also customize it and of course if necessary if the quantity requires we we can of course Mass produce then and make the costs much lower so the first case I like to share is um this is with our P Sola boolt from Japan and he's been using he's deployed the drone. d80 with fly based software in the

**[14:07]** um kind of Cana canag gawa area for the river Patrol uh near Tokyo the big city so on a daily basis flying over the rivers for um pollution inspection see if there's any um illegal construction or any illegal um pouring out the politic material into the river that's been a very um successful case for us in Japan the second one is uh we we made the the mounted the car mounted the vehicle mounted drone do the Decap for Hong Kong pleasement the PTU uh last year they started to um deploy the Drone do to all of his PTU teams so uh in terms of emergency respond they they can have a team to uh scramble the Drone in the air as as as everybody knows that Hong Kong is a you know a very small area small City so um they need to be able to fly the Drone

**[15:11]** manually uh so FlytBase were able to provide e both Auto mission and also manual fly in the in the crouded uh City area the second case is uh also we did a deployment in Dominican Republic in the uh Caribbean region we helped the partners to deploy over um eight drone dogs in the coastal area because um the santal Domingo is a coastal city so we deploy the Drone dog in all over the city for traffic mon monitoring and for inspection see if there's any emergency this a traffic jam the the the pter will scramble the drawn to that um point of interest and send back some bit footage for the for um for discussion for how we can you know make the traffic solve the traffic CH the first case is I think Al is this is also done by m I think M can laterally uh touch on this uh it's a project in uh Barcelona

**[16:18]** uh span for our Spanish client so it's also for a security inspection over um some facilities the fifth case is the D40 that I also mentioned sever case that is we made this strong dog a um a house size drone do for a big uh hexa hexa drone that carries fir fighting canisters uh in terms of emergency of uh wifire in the forestry area uh in in Beijing the capital city of China and uh um besides the we we make the Drone we the charging dock the charging Pat to charge the Drone we also made the um the mechanism that can swap the fire canister underneath underneath the um the Drone so that there's no human uh operation requirement to change the canister so if the if the Drone finish dropping one of the canister he

**[17:18]** can just he can just um come back and then reload by the Drone dock another a new canister and continue on to the next mission um this is the uh the V2 200 uh our drone do based on container uh for the veto fix swing draw this uh application is for our uh it's in the our Northwest uh province in shinjang where the the the client used the VTO fix Wing to do a pipeline inspection it's about uh for each SE they have divided the pipeline into several sections for each section the length is about the this distance about 40 km so the the Drone will able to fly along the pine lines to do um inspection work besides some standard cameras the Drone can also carry some loud speaker some alarm system and also a parachute in case of uh emergency the Drone can still

**[18:19]** protect itself yeah so this is the um our cases uh in different countries and different areas uh with different dock model drone dock design um design so you have the canopy you have the uh vehicle mounted drone dock you have the house size drone dock you have the container size drone dock so this is has been a spectrum uh showcase the spectrum of the full spectrum uh of our products so um in a world that we can in the world we make both manions for different uh Ro robots and different drones yeah so now I like to uh hand it over to M so we can share some of your experience of being a total solution provider uh when you are deploying uh ha drone dog and with fly based software in in many countries uh in in Europe and in Middle East and in North

**[19:20]** America thank you James um I couldn't have made a better introduction and stressing of our outstanding collaboration of the the three company of us uh since the beginning of this adventure uh could you just please confirm my screen is visible and if not let me uh check what's uh if the screen sharing is successful normally should be should be the case it's a blank screen as of now Matthew yeah it's a black okay then let me yeah yeah this so it's actually split into two it's not slide by slide U maybe there's an option to normally it's h presenting in another screen and let me see I'm just sharing the wrong screen

**[20:21]** apologize ifan can help I can help you to share my screen I have your slides um if you want okay or I just try the other one and is it better okay yes okay so I after this um uh super introduction on the products of Asia and the different use case that James has exposed POS I will um enlight a bit more on what is actually um cyber trust doing as Asia drawn in the Box solution provider total solution provider and um my focus will be uh a bit more on the implementation side of the the activities

**[21:23]** related to drawing in the Box uh the different markets uh and segments that we serve and type of operations related to um this ecosystem so just to give a little overview uh first of all about cybric trust in a nutshell so we are an allaround robotics company specialized in drone anti-d drone sensors software integration our activities are a fair share of solution engineering coupled with service delivered and Service delivery and manage services and we are now entering our fourth year indeed of collaboration cooperation with uh Asia and FlytNow and uh cumulative experience in drawing the Box operations so I'm quite proud to say that we have hit now uh up to around 20 deployment across

**[22:23]** five different European countries um to give a bit of insights uh on the type of uh customers and organizations that we serve we have critical infrastructure like Harbor we work closely with research centers here in Belgium for example which purchased also our solution then we deployed power distribution company and solar farms uh for what relates to energy uh we work closely with MOS so mobile operators um and law enforcement and uh military and of course inspection companies and private security companies are uh also our customers so just to have an overview of the map so now we are present as I mentioned in five different European countries and I am counting here only live deployed Solutions not ongoing uh ongoing projects

**[23:26]** that are not yet fully rolled out that indeed span across across Europe and Beyond so um our company specialize um in the W range of Asia docking Solutions and uh we have actually most of the product visible in Europe in Belgium in uh Zant so in Brussels where we are based we have like a showroom and the R&D integration assembly and eventually production capability and um yeah so that's a bit uh in a natural the overview of what we are doing we've drawn in the Box uh now I will go a bit into more details so it's a very simple slide in appearance but uh which has actually um the goal to illustrate a bit what is a bit less visible when we consider drawing in the Box Technologies

**[24:30]** and uh products uh it's more the wall ecosystem around it and the the wall what I call the drawn in a box cycle and I will explain in a in a moment why we I call it a cycle as well because um cyber trust has been now since uh the beginning of this um Ro since the beginning of the roll out of this technology active in all the building blocks that um constitute the solution the draw in the Box solution and this can actually relate both to um power supply um alternative source of energy uh to operate the Drone in the Box solution lowlevel uh lowlevel uh electronics integration and customization drone uh different type of drone integration and payload

**[25:30]** connectivity so for example 5G or 4G integration uh software integration different type of um deployment uh mode uh with respect of the type of system architecture software architecture uh that is adopted to deploy those solution so all this to illustrate that uh on the side of the technology today to develop and deploy drawn in the Box technology is not just a matter of product but it's a whole ecosystem that requires close collaboration uh with the the partners involved and uh the ability to master each of those aspects to uh propose a successful and uh yeah successful uh customer Journey uh this was more so in the first part of the the the the slide you really see the more Tech technology related uh aspects and then there is the more uh

**[26:35]** let's say process or human Centric activities that cybrid trust carries in relation with the Drone in the box that also goes like uh range from the the very beginning user requirement and functional specification definition up to production or assembly and integration uh of the solution we usually then perform a factory acceptance test uh in our Workshop in Belgium uh before going through the wall phase of deployment site acceptance test training and documentation uh and then Post delivery we have like H hyper care support and maintenance activities so those are more like managed Services related uh activities but they are part of this um uh solution um that we propose to to our customer so that's

**[27:36]** um a bit uh everything on my side um wanted to raise a bit more um Awareness on all the aspects that relate to the Drone in the box and as you can see there is still a lot of room for profess professionalization of this industry is very exciting and it requires uh really a Mastery of uh lot of um a lot of uh Technologies so if there is any other uh questions uh more specific to the roll out of the solution or the product itself of course we are always reachable and uh we can answer maybe some questions uh on the topic sure thanks mat for you know giving us an overview about your offering and how you are um able to to deploy the Haisha docking stations for various use cases so uh and thanks James as well for showing you know your impressive lineup of docking stations and how each specific docking

**[28:40]** station U you know caters to a lot of different use cases uh we have the perfect partnership um you know it is important to get the right dock uh get the right solution uh where you know Matthew is coming in and helping us with a perfect deployment so that the customers are able to realize the value of what we are able to offer them and more importantly uh realize the value of an autonomous uh system right uh so yeah thank you uh and we have a few questions if we can just take a minute or so to answer those so maybe this is both for Mato and James so can you um briefly help uh us understand the commercial agreement between ha hybrid for example if you want to use a high Shi station for giving automated services do they have to buy the dog or it's available as a service or Haisha is bearing the asset cost and yeah something like that okay so uh I will go first

**[29:47]** and then Maro you can uh you can add more so uh for that the the we are m is a partner for um many European countries uh he get the hardware from us and software part from FlytBase and then he as a service provider or solution integrator will provide the toal solution to the n as he mentioned in his slides that you know it's not only about the hardware of the Drone do or software of the Drone we have to add more more a value added service on top of that he can also provide on on signed installation service training service after Sal service um annual maintenance service um all kinds of um service that he need to to um to provide so um if you want to get a the hardware uh it depends on which country you're from but if you're from Europe I

**[30:48]** think you can also get it from from Mario but uh you know the draw dog is not simply as getting a hardware and software and then that's off because I think it's a it's a complete solution so you need not only the software and the hardware you also need many services and also um I think as previously discussed with Maro he is also trying to uh establish a small Network in in Belgian so he can be a service operator so he what he can provide is not on you know uh if clients wants to choose he can either choose to get the the to solution to purchase the solution from him or he can only provide a service to you you can just um random these I think that refer to M so yeah I think I can just complement your um uh answer James by adding just few uh additional inputs so to answer the question

**[31:52]** and yeah of course we can propose both both uh as a service approach and Al mode that's um an interesting business model for everyone in the way we can collaborate with our customers in Europe or abroad but um the the the more um how do you say uh to to go a bit more in depth in in the answer I would say that uh the level of ambition o of such a customer um is very important here uh the Asia product has the ability to support a full scalability and roll out of such a solution and in the case in that in that case of course it is I think compulsory to have a local partner to support that Journey but um uh yes if you just the the the the product as is uh in a very single use can it's quite

**[32:53]** um easy to to deploy it doesn't it does not have a particular complexity unless of course you want to uh project yourself in the future and be able to uh keep your total cost of ownership evolve with the technology both in term of drone of connectivity and so on and from our experience on the European market and quite numerous live deployment that we delivered there is not drawn in the box that fit and thck all boxes at the moment you need to have this flexibility this modularity to adapt to the the requirements and this is precisely why you work with integrators like us for example yeah yeah just to add on top of that Matthew as James was also saying um I think one of the key takeaways from the session is also that you need to ensure that the customer is deriving a lot of value uh from the solutions and in

**[33:54]** order to do that you need to be a part of their workflows and you can only be a part of their workflows if you do pick and choose the right Integrations for them select you know maybe the right docking station when it comes to the use case so maybe let's say the r80 or the d135 when when it comes to the haha's offering and that is where Haisha and cyber thrust they come into the picture so uh thanks again for sharing all those insights really appreciate it appreciate you uh spending the time and sharing you know your experience with us uh I am sure that our audience is taking away a lot of insights and learnings from this session uh before we wrap up James and Matthew any final closing thoughts we are a little uh above time but quickly if you want to uh give a key takeaway or a summary from your experiences uh that would be great okay so I will start first so I I uh from many feedbacks from my uh my clients I think this year is going to be a year of uh

**[34:57]** drawn Solutions all over the world uh in order to provide the solution to the end user you we need to close to you know we need to be able to be uh to understand requirements onsite because when if you're sitting in the office you know you only hearing um you know a fraction of requirements you won't able to understand the big picture of the end users requirements so I think it's important that uh we as a hardware provider and software Partners as FlytBase need to work much more close with um solution providers like M as they you know onside they understand the end user even to to visit the end user with the solution um integrators with them so that we can have a you know live a comprehensive understanding of what the really requirement really needs from the end user even sometimes the end user says this but sometimes it's not actually what they need so we need to be onside to understand so

**[35:58]** it's very important that we we need to have some Partners like M that you yeah yes yes just to to conclude on from our our perspective we really see that the figures are are really growing in term of those deployment uh I said earlier in my slides that we hit I think 20 20 dockings live and deployed uh just this year 2024 we expect to double that figures and I'm talking only on more Less sales pipe that are uh uh almost booked so to to to support such a growth um in term of deployment and growth of the ecosystem itself uh yeah I think there is room for for for um for quite some players and uh uh yeah we we each player each contributor to the ecosystem know know where is uh excelling the best and uh this way we can better serve the industry of course

**[36:59]** yeah thanks James and Matthew and again to add to that uh we also see that this industry is you know position for scale in 2024 and the years that are yet to come and uh it's really important to be like build a great ecosystem and get the Synergy from all the players so that uh you give an end to-end solution um so yeah thank you for coming on stage and telling us about your uh dog deployments uh that really helps I'm sure the audience is much more informed and uh yeah thank you for your time the audience we're going to have a networking round table right after the session so there's a networking tab on your left if you want to go and uh network with a few people um you know have a chat about a few things related to autonomous drone operations or anything specific you can go to the networking Tab and get started over there thanks once again for your time appreciate it and and have a great day uh have a great weekend and see you soon bye-bye

**[38:04]** thanks bye bye byebye
